WESCOL Type 83 Regulator-End Flashback Arrestor

The WESCOL Type 83 Regulator-End Flashback Arrestor is a safety device designed for installation at the regulator outlet in oxygen and fuel gas systems, providing enhanced protection for gas equipment and operators during cutting, welding and heating applications.

Designed with multiple integrated safety functions, the Type 83 incorporates a Flame Arrestor (FA) to quench a flame front, a Non-Return Valve (NV) to prevent reverse gas flow, and a Temperature-Sensitive Cut-Off Valve (TV) that stops gas flow when a predetermined temperature is exceeded. These safety mechanisms provide multiple levels of protection against hazardous conditions within the gas supply system.

The flashback arrestor is manufactured with a durable CW614N brass body and features a standard-flow design suitable for oxygen and various fuel gases. Maximum inlet pressure is rated at 10 bar for Oxygen, 1.5 bar for Acetylene, and 4 bar for Propane/LPG and Hydrogen.

Manufactured in accordance with ISO 5175, the Type 83 is permanently marked with the batch information, direction of gas flow, applicable standard and date of manufacture for clear identification and traceability.
